5 Natural Must Haves For Good Skin

I want to share today some natural ingredients that you should always have at home if you love DIY face masks or have sensitive skin like me. Remember good skin care isn't just for the ladies, these are simple little things that can help exfoliate, brighten and even get rid of acne or scars, stuff I use all the time to treat my skin. Remember to wash your face before trying any of these out and to test out the ingredients on your arm before applying it onto your face.

1. Gram Flour: A very popular Indian and Pakistani remedy for treating skin problems, it has helped me with acne scars, uneven skin tone and even exfoliation. I swear by this remedy because as someone who has a very sensitive skin, I have never had any issues with it however I do suggest you test it on your arm to make sure your'e not allergic to it. It's rich in zinc and helps skin infections and keep acne away. All you need to do is mix the flour with some water ( rose water if you can ) and just apply it on to your face, wait till it dries out and just wash it off in circular motions ( to exfoliate ).

2. Turmeric: Not only is turmeric great for detoxing your insides but it also great for external use ( of course make sure you are not allergic to it ) it's antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties are amazing for treating sun damage, acne scars and even dark circles. I use it with gram flour to avoid getting the yellow stains but they don't last too long so you could just use without it.

3. Tea Tree Oil: I have never really had any issues with acne but every one gets a pimple here and there, tea tree oil is anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial which helps calming redness on the skin, however I use tea tree oil for drying out pimples and it has worked for me every single time. The first time I used tea tree oil I didn't dilute it in a carrier oil and that burns!!! so make sure you get a carrier oil such as castor, almond or coconut oil mix 2 drops of tea tree into 1 tsp of the carrier oil, try it out on your skin and just apply it onto the bump and watch it shrink. I love this oil so much I use it in baths, face mists, on acne, to wash my hair when it gets oily and even in my mop water.

4. Rose Water: What about it? well it's got anti-inflammatory properties ( obviously ) and it can help you with redness, puffy skin and just to give your skin a little bit of that natural glow. Whether you spray it on directly or mix it with gram flour, turmeric or any other face masks, it will leave your skin calm, soft and smelling like roses.

5.Honey: Antiseptic, antibacterial and packed with antioxidants, honey is great for your skin. It hydrates and cleanses your skin. It helps your skin heal from acne scars and exfoliates as well. My favorite use for it is mixing a little bit of honey with some sugar and using it as a lip scrub.

These are my 5 favorite natural skin remedies and I suggest doing further research and making sure you aren't allergic to any of them before using as we all have different types of skins. Below are some DIYs I do using these ingredients:

Face Mist:

-Rose water

-Tea Tree Oil

Mix a few drops ( very few this is a very strong oil ) into rose water, put it in a spray bottle, shake it up and just spray it on. If the smell is too sweet for you feel free to add some cold water to the mix to balance it out. Measurements really depend on how much your'e making. This face mist is especially good for a nice sunny day, just leaves you feeling refreshed.

Face Mask For Dark Spots, Tan and Exfoliation:

- Gram flour ( 1 tbsp )

- Turmeric ( 1/2 tsp )

- Honey ( 1/4 tsp )

- Milk or Rose water ( enough to make a paste )

Test it out on your arm if you don't have any negative reactions, apply it to your clean face wait a few minutes for the mask to dry out and then wash it off in circular motions. This will brighten your skin and exfoliate.

Shampoo Hack To Get Rid Of Dandruff and Oily Hair:

- Tea Tree Oil ( few drops )

- Shampoo

Mix a few drops of tea tree oil into your shampoo and just wash your hair thoroughly with it.

I hope you guys like this!
